William Penn men's basketball will try to claim a share of the regular season conference title on Senior Day this weekend.

After downing Central Methodist 97-88 on the road this week, the Statesmen vaulted into a three-way tie atop the Heart of America Athletic Conference standings. A win guarantees a share of the regular season title for Penn, but it doesn't guarantee a one seed in next week's conference tournament. Because of tiebreakers, Penn is currently the three seed in the tournament. If MidAmerica Nazarene or Peru State fall on Saturday, Penn would jump into the two seed. If both teams lose and Penn wins, the Statesmen would claim the one seed and the outright regular season conference title. The Statesmen will tip off Saturday, February 27 at 4 p.m. against Baker at the Penn Gym.

But before the men get underway, William Penn women's basketball will tip off at 2 p.m. for Senior Day as well. The women are currently tied for sixth in the conference with Grand View. The outcomes on Saturday will determine seeding and who the Statesmen play next week in the conference tournament.
