The Indians (1-7) fell 49-13 to the Panthers (4-4) on Friday night at Lacey. Oskaloosa is mathematically eliminated from playoff aspirations.

Football action at Lacey on Friday night. The Indians hosting Knoxville and we’ll start at the second quarter with the Panthers already leading 21-7.

Junior Joe Sterner goes back to throw and he’s picked off, Tanner Dunkin is off to the races and it’s a pick-six. Knoxville up 28-7 late in the second.

After a surprise onside kick, here come the Panthers once again.  And this time it’s Justin Devin, touchdown Panthers, 35-7.

Last play of the first half now and Jared McClung scrambles, scrambles, and throws a hail mary and it is caught. John Mitchell on the reception and the Panthers go into the break 42-7 over Osky.

Fast-forward to the fourth quarter now, Panthers up 49-7, and it’s sophomore Kyle Salazar up the middle with his second score of the day, touchdown Osky. And that’s all she wrote. The Indians fall 49-13 to the Panthers. Knoxville qualifies to the playoffs for the first time since 1990. The Indians are eliminated from playoff contention and are 1-7 on the year.
