William Penn University's women's soccer squad continued its streak of positive results on Wednesday.

William Penn (4-5-3) hosting Culver-Stockton (7-1-2) on Wednesday and let’s get right to it. After a long pass from Sophomore Alyce Correia, freshman Camila Parra beats her defender and five-holes the goalie, what a strike. Penn up 1-0 with 12 minutes left in the first half.

But just two minutes later, take a look at this. After a throw in from Culver-Stockton, Brittney McMahon keeps it alive, the goalie can’t handle it and Kira McGrotty pushes it in for the Wildcats, tying the game at one, heading into the break.

Forty-ninth minute now, and senior Jaymie Padilla takes down Erin Kelly and it’s a penalty kick for the Wildcats. Alyx Seats steps up for Culver-Stockton and puts in the back of the net for the 2-1 lead.

But here come the Statesmen, and after a header from freshman Francis Lee, it’s Parra again with her second goal of the afternoon to even the score at two. And that would be all the scoring in this one, as WPU and Culver-Stockton finish in a 2-2 double overtime tie. William Penn is now 4-5-3 on the year and heads to Wisconsin on Saturday to take on Viterbo.
