From the Oskaloosa Police Department: On Saturday, February 18th, 2012, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Officers of the Oskaloosa Police Department arrested 19-year-old Garrett Wayne Luckett, of 501 2nd Avenue East, charging him with 6 counts of Sexual Abuse in the 3rd degree.

This arrest took place at the Police Department, following an interview of Luckett.

This arrest and the criminal charges stem from an investigation into an ongoing sexual relationship that Luckett allegedly had with a 13-year-old female from Oskaloosa, over the past 2 months.  The Police Department received a complaint about this relationship prior to this date.

Sexual Abuse In the 3rd Degree in a class "C" Felony, punishable by a 10-Year prison sentence and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000.

Following his arrest, Luckett was incarcerated in the Mahaska County Jail and will make his initial appearance in the Mahaska County Magistrate's Court on 2/19/12.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
