A Special Election is being held today (Tuesday, January 10th) to fill a vacancy on the Oskaloosa School Board.

The opening comes from the resignation of Nick Hansen who moved out of the district for a new job at Cargill.

There are two candidates who are running for the position:

Amanda McGraw and Elaine Fontana.

Voting will take place from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Fellowship Bible Church Activity Building. The address is 1000 A Avenue West.

Superintendent Russ Reiter says all registered voters are encouraged to vote in this special election. The candidates are from District 1, which is the northwest corner of Oskaloosa.
